About the Role

We need a Level 3 IT Support Engineer. This role is ideal for someone who loves solving tough problems. You will work across infrastructure, cloud, and networking. Plus, you will support local and international clients.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support First, deliver high-level support for complex IT issues. These include both hardware and software problems. So, you must be confident with a wide range of systems.

Network Administration Next, manage and configure firewalls, switches, and routers. Also, apply security best practices. This keeps client systems safe and stable.

Escalation Management You will handle escalated tickets. Therefore, you must resolve issues within SLA timeframes. In short, speed and accuracy both matter here.

Proactive Improvements Meanwhile, look for risks and suggest fixes. This helps boost system performance. As a result, clients experience fewer outages.

Root Cause Analysis When problems repeat, dig into the cause. Then, put long-term fixes in place. That way, the same issue won’t come back.

Mentorship Share your knowledge with junior engineers. Also, help build a positive team culture. In doing so, you lift the whole team.

Projects You will also join key projects. For example, system upgrades and new deployments. These keep your skills fresh and current.

Documentation Finally, keep clear and accurate records. This ensures the whole team stays on the same page.


Skills & Experience

You need strong experience with Microsoft and infrastructure tools. For example:

  • Windows Server, VMware, Hyper-V
  • Active Directory and Azure AD
  • Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint
  • Networking — firewalls, switches, wireless

What Else We Look For

In addition, you should meet these points:

  • 4–6+ years in IT support
  • Able to solve complex Level 2/3 issues
  • Good grasp of networking and security basics
  • Clear communicator with all types of users
  • Works well alone and in a team

Moreover, certifications like A+, MCSE, or CCNA are highly valued.


Advantageous

These are not required. However, they will strengthen your application:

  • MSP or enterprise background
  • ITIL certification
  • VMware, Cisco, or Microsoft certs
  • Dell server and storage experience
  • Backup and monitoring tool knowledge
  • Project or BA experience

Requirements

You must hold a valid Australian driver’s licence. Also, you need to be willing to visit client sites when needed.
